Affiliate disclosure.
Last reviewed: October 4, 2026
Pearlpedia may earn compensation when a reader follows certain links and completes a qualifying purchase. If that happens, the purchase price to the reader is generally not increased because of the referral.
How compensated links are identified
Links that can generate affiliate compensation are marked in the site's code as sponsored links. Pearlpedia may link to retailers without receiving compensation as well.
Editorial separation
Affiliate availability is not an input to the Pearlpedia scoring formula. Product ratings are calculated from the published review criteria, while commercial-link data is stored separately from editorial scores.
Prices and availability
Retail prices and availability can change. Where a price is shown, Pearlpedia records when it was checked. The retailer's current page controls the final price, availability, taxes, shipping terms, and purchase conditions.
What affiliate compensation can and cannot affect
Affiliate compensation may affect whether Pearlpedia can earn revenue from an outbound link, but it does not change the product facts stored in the site, the evidence status assigned to a review, or the weighting used in editorial scoring. A retailer that does not participate in an affiliate program can still be included in rankings, brand profiles, comparisons and recommendations when it is relevant to the research.
Retailer claims remain retailer claims
An affiliate relationship does not make a seller's grading, origin, treatment, quality or value claim independent evidence. Pearlpedia records seller-specific labels such as AAA or AAAA as retailer claims unless a separate authoritative source supports a broader comparison. The same evidence standards apply whether a link is compensated or uncompensated.
Product links and purchase decisions
Outbound product links are provided so readers can verify the current listing directly with the retailer. Product names, specifications, inventory, return policies, warranty terms, shipping costs and promotional pricing can change after Pearlpedia's last check. Readers should confirm the retailer's current page before making a purchase, especially when a recommendation depends on pearl size, metal, length, certification or another specification that can vary by option.
Editorial updates and corrections
If a commercial relationship changes, Pearlpedia can update how the affected link is labeled without rewriting an editorial conclusion solely because compensation became available or unavailable. If the underlying product facts or evidence change, the editorial page may be revised separately and the relevant research or update date should reflect that change.
